Can someone tell me first, why the pop-up problem occurred and now why Avast is still on my system after uninstall and now with no way of uninstalling it? I don't like having a program running on my computer that doesn't show up on my installed programs list. Furthermore, it now no longer shows up on either my Revo list of installed programs or in the Windows 10 list of installed programs. Upon rebooting, I discovered that Avast was still on my system and functioning normally. I then re-booted the system to make sure that the uninstall had been completed. Avast Free Antivirus is now uninstalled from your PC. Click Restart computer to immediately reboot your PC and complete uninstallation. Wait while the Avast Uninstall Tool removes all Avast Free Antivirus files from your PC. If you don't see the Avast icon in the System Tray, click the icon that resembles a bracket pointing up in the. Right-click this icon to display a pop-up menu. It resembles an orange splat with an 'a' in the middle. It's in the lower-right corner by default. I uninstalled it using Revo Uninstaller which is my go-to uninstall program and it confirmed that I had deleted all of the registry keys and files and that the uninstall was complete. Select Avast Free Antivirus in the drop-down menu. Right-click on the Avast icon in the System Tray. I finally decided that the only way I could get the pop-up to disappear was to uninstall Avast and reinstall it. After numerous attempts (and regardless of whatever I tried with Avast), including setting it to silent mode, the pop-up kept reappearing. I could not get the pop-up to go away however. I just had a problem where I got a pop-up message from Avast saying that it had detected a trojan and moved it to the virus chest.
